Author : 端木摇

Genres : Urban-Fi

Status: Completed

Description:

The fall of a dynasty, the legends of two empresses, the transformations of four prominent families—these are the achievements of Duanmu Qing, whose extraordinary life is legendary. This is not an ordinary court tale, nor is it a typical romantic narrative; Duanmu Yao's writing is elegant and intricate, yet the story begins to transcend the limitations of conventional romance novels, which often dwell in boundless tenderness but narrow perspectives, striving to create a grand yet graceful narrative.

"The Song of the Celestial Palace: The Two Empresses of Two Dynasties" is divided into two parts: "Slow Fireworks" and "The Celestial Palace Above and Below." It primarily narrates the story of Duanmu Qing, a young lady from the Duanmu family of the Daling Dynasty, who has secretly harbored feelings for Xi Men Huaiyu, the son of the Xi Men family, since childhood. However, she unexpectedly learns that he is about to marry her cousin. Just as she is devising ways to reclaim her love, she finds herself caught in a time of chaos, with her country destroyed and her family fallen, amidst a change of dynasties. In this tumultuous era, when she feels utterly lost, she encounters her future partner, Tang Shuyang, and resolutely decides to rise up to protect her loved ones and friends, joining Tang Shuyang in the quest to reclaim their lost homeland.
